Thursday Thirteen #4 – Rich people are bad

No Gravatar

13 reasons my husband thinks rich people are bad. Don’t look at ME, he’s the one that thinks this stuff lol

1. coz good people have bad luck

2. because they must have screwed people over to get the money

3. because they must be continually screwing people over to keep the money

4. coz they don’t keep family a priority

5. money is all that matters to them

6. they take advantage of the poor

7. they are users and schmoozers

8. because big money corrupts small morals

9. power corrupts absolutely anyway

10. they are wasteful, a private jet? c’mon!

11. they don’t give, they just take

12. because they must do bad things, or my husband would have money

13. if they’re so rich, why ain’t they smart?

Bonus Thursday Thirteen: and THIS one is not tongue in cheek

13 Reasons Why I hate those blogger/blogspot blogs that don’t let you comment.

1. not ALL of us have google/blogger identies, or open id (whatever the heck open id is, i don’t have one)

2. they leave out the entire rest of the blogging world

3. some of us SELF PUBLISH our blogs

4. we neeeeeed the name/url option to fill in our information

5. it makes me feel like i don’t matter just coz i don’t have a blogger blog

6. it’s blogism, sorta like racism but more with blogs than race

7. I go to all the trouble of reading your blog

8. I go to all the trouble of commenting on your blog

9. sometimes at great length

10 and i scroll down to ‘submit comment’ area and what do i find?

11. no ‘name/url’ option!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

12 i went to all that work for nothing

13. and there’s no way to contact you on your ‘blogger profile’ so none of you will ever know…It really really pisses me off

  1. I think I agree with your husband on a lot of that!

And if only those blogger blogs would let you leave a comment so you could tell them how annoyed you. Nothing worse than being annoyed and not being able to let it out!

  2. The first 13 made me smile. While reading the bonus 13 I kept nodding yes; hear hear, amen to that!
Thanks for visiting my TT. I don’t understand why you get so little comments on non-meme posts. This is the first time I’m visiting your blog, but I like it and I’ll be back!

  3. One thing that I’ve noticed about people who have a lot of money is that they use it to control people. If they give some of it away, then they want something in return – usually their own way.

  4. Uh… Yeah, totally hear ya about the comment ordeal. I’ve only been blogging a few months & in the beginning didn’t know you had to change the settings to allow everyone to comment.

Thankfully kind visitors to my own blog gave me the heads up ;)

  6. I am so with you on those blogs that make it difficult to comment. *pout*

Is it terrible of me that I still want to be rich?

  7. I don’t understand why anyone still uses Blogspot.

Is your husband my ex-? All that sounded really familiar.

  8. I am so with you on the blogism!! Veeeeery frustrating!

  9. It’s not blogger’s fault that users don’t allow comments from folks by name/url or anon; or that users don’t make their profiles/email address public. Perhaps a few of these users will change their settings now :)

  10. I am getting increasingly frustrated with comment moderation on blogs. Everyone has a way to remove comments they do not agree with, but I don’t like having to wait to be a part of the cool kids’ table. I know I am fabulous, and don’t need to be moderated.

As far as the rich …. they continue to get richer while the middle class gets poorer. Looking forward to a “change I can believe in” in January 2009.

I hope you’ll stop by my What I Am edition.

  13. I am sure some rich people are exactly the way your hubby interprets them and then I am sure some are not at all.

I believe if people are given money later in life after their moral system has been put in place then money won’t change them, just allow them to have the opportunities that they didn’t in the past and that may include helping the less fortunate.

I agree with your bonus TT, those things annoy me as well.
    :)

  14. lol..wow..I must be one of those bloggers. I did not know so many felt this way.

  15. Tell your hubby that he’s shooting himself in the foot holding those attitudes about rich people because he’s teaching his subsconscious that HE would have to be all those things in order to be rich, which consciously (unless he’s two-faced as hell) he says he can’t stand, so his subconscious is always going to see to it that he never gets rich to ensure that he never becomes all those things he says about rich people. See the circle dance?

Re: Your bonus TT13 – A-freakin’-MEN!!! And thank you for saying it out loud! No Name/URL option? No comment from me. Period. And sometimes that’s really sad, because I’ve seen some great content on which I would have loved to comment – but they won’t let me! Exactly why I offer a service for brand new or ‘reluctant’ bloggers which would absolutely fit the bill for converting all these Blogger people to WordPress. I may have to repost your list over at my site today to help get my point across. :)
